Reconstruction of the indoor arena 

The Hellenic Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce the commencement of works for the complete reconstruction of the Indoor arena of the Markopoulo oLYMPIC Equestrian Center, with the aim of improving training and competition conditions for all athletes.

These works are being carried out following the initiative and generous contribution of a group of athletes and friends of the sport, undertaken entirely at their own expense, responsibility, and private initiative.

Responding to this important initiative, the Hellenic Equestrian Federation immediately established the framework for cooperation to ensure the effective and timely execution of the works.

The reconstruction of the arena will include the complete removal of the existing sand and its replacement with quartz sand, along with additional complementary works. Following the reconstruction, regular maintenance of the competition surface will be ensured throughout the winter competition season of 2025–2026.

On behalf of all its members and the equestrian community of the country, the Hellenic Equestrian Federation expresses its enthusiasm for this contribution and participation by members of the sport in its mission and in the collective vision of promoting and developing the Markopoulo Olympic Center as a national equestrian centre, and extends its deepest gratitude for their generous support.
