Qualificaition for the Semifinal & 2nd place in the Gorla GP!

Greek Equestrian Sport is experiencing great moments lately with its athletes continuing their series of successes.

In the CSIO3 * in Gorla Minore and specifically in the Longines EEF Series Nations Cup, the Greek team with a very good performance managed not only to occupy the 6th place, but to achieve its first important goal, to qualify for the semifinals of the series in Budapest.

Greek athletes Angelos Touloupis with Lord Mexx, Kriton Zafeiropoulos with Dicaprio, Yiannis Skandalis with Ego di Villagana and Ilias Baliousis with Casper d’Argouges scored 8 points in both rounds and tied with five other teams. Time judged the positions and with a total time of 227.22 Greece was 6th. In the 1st place with 0 points was Great Britain, in the 2nd and 3rd place with 8 points were respectively France and Switzerland!

The success of our team was followed by an even greater success. In the Grand Prix of 1.50m. Angelos Touloupis and Lord Mexx impressed once again by winning 2nd place out of a total of 48 athletes. The Greek athlete made a clear round in the 1st round and together with 9 other athletes entered the jump off where he again had a clear and a time of 40.96. The winner  was the Italian Piergiorgio Bucci with Carpe Diem J & f Champblanc with 0 points and the best time in the jump off 40.61.

Next Nations Cup for our National Team is the semifinal inBudapest June 29 to July 2.
