The Balkan Jumping Championship in Belgrade !

The National Jumping Team is in Belgrade this week to take part in the Balkan Championship that will be held from Thursday, 4 to Sunday, 7 September 2025.

Aiming for the best possible performance, Greece will take part in the five categories of Children, Juniors, Young Riders, Seniors and Amazons with 36 athletes, namely:

In the Senior Category, Angelos Touloupis with Del Rey of the Lowlands Z, Anna Papageorgiou with Gold Cappucino, Ilias Baliousis with Casper D’Argouges, Konstantinos Baliousis with Merlot van de Lichtekouter, Efthimis Kremiotis with Charmont and Yiannis Skandalis with Hilada will compete.

In the Young Riders Category, the riders of the Greek team are Champion Loukas Baliousis with Ice Tea du Golfe, Marianna Gounela with For Conty, Paraskevi Kanellaki with Alvaro Mongrenier, Maria Kavallari with Sunny, Artemis Talliaki with Valence PP Z, and Eleni Tzavopoulou with Vacaress.

The Junior Category will feature this year’s Champion, Marili Katsamba with His Little Diamond, Anastasia Alvertou with Imotep d’Amour, Stefania Besiou with Diana vd Tojopehoeve Z, Konstantinos Karydis with Capitol Gold, Alexandra Marinopoulou with Peaches 40, Androniki Maroglou with Don’t Mind, Emmelia Oikonomopoulou with LP Big City Life and Zoe Stratigopoulou with Baladin Happy.

The Junior Category will feature Champion Ioanna Dimitra Francois with Amber Valetta, Dimitris Brastianos with Good for Gold, Vasiliki Dimitra Hatzara with Szilaj, Melina Fanouraki with Harmony AS, Antonis Giatzoglou with Hella du Ruisseau, Melina Louverdi Kourenti with Ermis de Fanfar, Evangelia Rouchota with La Vie est Belle and Myrto Spentzou with Kalina vd Dommelbron Z.

The Amazon Category will feature this year's winner, Sasha Hatziprimou with Cendrasine, Vasiliki Darmani with Cloud Nine 9, Katerina Doubodel with Butterfly de Rhodes, Danae Filioti with Hidalgo de Vesquerie, Dimitra Iglesi with Confino Blue, Thanoula Kamberou with Bel Air de la Vigne, Electra Tsanai with Questa LK (108BH24) and Valeria Zachariou with Indy S.

A total of 197 riders from 10 Balkan countries, Greece, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and North Macedonia, will take part. The veterinary check of the horses was scheduled for this morning. while the competition program starts tomorrow, Thursday, 4/9. Team Chef d'Equipe is Mr. Stavros Georgopoulos, while the National Team is accompanied by the German Technical Advisor Mr. Lars Meyer zu Bexten.
