Balkan Show Jumping Championship in Belgrade

With great competition, the Balkan Jumping Championship concluded yesterday afternoon in Belgrade, having taken place there since Thursday, September 4.

In the Ladies’ Category, our team — consisting of Sasa Chatziprímou with Cendrasine, Vanessa Darmani with Cloud Nine 9, Katerina Doubodel with Butterfly de Rhodes, and Thanoula Kamperou with Bel Air de la Vigne — won the bronze medal, collecting 28 points over two rounds among a total of seven teams. The gold medal went to the Turkish team, and the silver to the Romanian team. In the Individual event, the best result from the Greek side was achieved by Vanessa Darmani, who scored 8 points out of a total of 49 riders.

In the Children’s Category, in the individual event, excellent performances — highlighted by a 4th place finish out of 41 riders — were delivered by Myrto Spentzou with Kalina vd Dommelbron Z.

In the Juniors Category, in the individual event, the best Greek performance came from Stefania Besiou with Diana vd Tojopehoeve Z, who took 6th place out of 43 athletes, while she also claimed 1st place in yesterday’s two-round Grand Prix final with flawless rounds.

In the Seniors Category, in the individual event, the best Greek result among 36 athletes was achieved by Anna Papageorgiou with Gold Cappucino, who finished in 8th place.

Στην Κατηγορία Νέων Ιππέων, στο ατομικό αγώνισμα, την καλύτερη θέση για την Ελλάδα, την 8^η, κέρδισε η Μαριάννα Γκουνέλα με τον For Conty σε σύνολο  29 αθλητών.
