7 medals for Greece in Tsaratsovo, Bulgaria!

With 7 medals in its luggage, the Greek Dressage team returns today from Tsaratsovo, Bulgaria, where it successfully competed in the Balkan Championship held on September 12–14.

Greece won two gold medals in the Juniors Category thanks to our Champion, Danae Giannopoulou with Barcelona, who triumphed in the individual freestyle event with a score of 73.73%, and of course, thanks to our national team in the team competition.

The team consisted of Danae Giannopoulou, Danae Papapolyzou with San Francetto, Athina Bikaki with Zoie, and Petros Ramsis Rotas Gereis with Kivi. They achieved a total score of 198%, leaving Bulgaria in 2nd place and Romania in 3rd.

In the Seniors Category, Greece won the gold medal in the team event with Christina Sachinoglou on Marilyn Monroe, Maria Eleni Tourkomani on Seine Tosca, Eleni Myrat on Cosmote Veronica, and Pinelopi Perdikaris on Koko Litchy, achieving a total score of 193.088%. Bulgaria placed 2nd, and Romania 3rd.

In the individual event, Maria Eleni Tourkomani with Seine Tosca became the Balkan silver medalist with a score of 69.12% in the freestyle test, while Christina Sachinoglou with Marilyn Monroe took the bronze with 66.52%. The gold medal was won for Romania by Daria Maria Paliciuc with Everton.

In the Children’s Category, Angelina Katsouli with Ninniefeh won the bronze medal in the individual event, scoring 68.79% in yesterday’s competition. The Balkan Champion title went to Gita Zitkovic with Dior from Croatia.

 

Finally, in the Young Riders Category, Eleni Barbati with Formentera was crowned Balkan Champion, achieving a score of 67.27% in the freestyle event.
