"Athens Equestrian Festival" continues with the Athens CSIO2*-W

Athens Equestrian Festival continues this week in the Olympic Grass arena in Markopoulo. After 6 years, the Athens CSIO2 * -W returns to the new grass arena of the Olympic Equestrian Center.

Already the first horses have reached the stables of the Olympic Equestrian Center and until the evening the rest are expected. 70 athletes from 9 countries with 110 horses will take part in the total of 14 four day events. The participating countries are Greece, Austria, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Panama. From the Greek side, 35 riders will take part.

The most important events of the four-day event are the Grand Prix, which will be held on Friday, June 6 at 17.00, and is a qualifier for the World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2019, and the Nations Cup, that our country with a team of four riders will participate on Sunday, the last class of the program at 17.00.

Everyone who visits the Olympic Equestrian Center this four-day equestrian will have the opportunity not only to get to know the wonderful and spectacular sport of horseback riding, horsemen and horses, but also to have fun with the many parallel events that will take place in the context of the Games. There will be a children's farm with rare animals, there will be playmobiles for children and a Playmobil playground with many games and various activities for the little friends of the sport, and a visual exhibition entitled The Horses. Entrance to the center is free.

13.00               Class 12ο – Silver Tour – height 1.40m. 

17.00               Class 13ο –Nations Cup - height 1.50m.
