Bronze medal for Grigoris Voglis at the JCOG GP

With the awarding of the Jockey Club of  Greece Grand Prix, the second day of the Athens CSIO2 * -W was completed yesterday.

Four athletes, including two Greeks, made clear rounds and went to a jump off for the 1st place. The bronze medal was won by Senior Champion 2016, Grigoris Voglis with Quelly Briquedale with 4 points and time 54.38, while 4th was Nicolina Macarona with the Arc de Triomphe also with 4 points. Great winner with the best time 51.59 and perfect clear in the barrage was Bulgarian Angel Nyagolov with Chaccotago, while in second place was the Ukrainian Mykhailo Pilipenko with Chacco Cento with 0 points and time 53.45.

The third Greek victory in the World Cup was won by Paris Koutsoyiannis with Daouschka in the second class of the day with the fastest clear in 68.71. In 2nd place was Panagiotis Tsaktiris with La Belle with 0 points and time 73.39 and in 3rd place was Serbian Drasco Dokic with Aliboron with 0 points and time 79.30.

In the first class, two Greek athletes occupied the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Aggelos Toulopis with Zhin Chin was second with a double clear rounds and time 31.26 and Dimitris Natsis with Calysta was third with a double clear and time 31.41. The winner was for the second time the two-day Italian Filippo Martini di Cigala with Dejavu with the fastest ride at 29.47.

Tomorrow the third day the competition starts at 11.00 and include three events, first young horses class, at 12.30 class of 1.35m . and at 16.00 1.45m class.
