Triumph for Greece and Greek athletes in the international CSIO competition of Bojouristhe in Bulgaria.

Yesterday afternoon the Greek team climbed the first stage of the podium in the Nations Cup. Our four athletes, Kriton Zafeiropoulos with Dicaprio, Nikolina Makarona with Arc de Triomphe, Katerina Laskaridis with Concordia and Anna Papageorgiou with LC Waikiki Akino scored 12 points in both rounds and won the gold medal. In 2nd place was the team of Italy and in third the team of Ukraine. With this victory, Greece secured its qulification at the Nations Cup Final, to be held in Budapest on 9-12 August.

At the Grand Prix on Friday, two Greek athletes won the silver and bronze medals respectively. Nikolina Makarona with Arc de Triomphe had one of the two clear rounds and went on a jump off with the winner of the competition, Angel Nyagolov, with Condarco. In third place with 1 point was Kritonas Zafeiropoulos with Dicaprio.

Also medals for Greece brought in a 1.35m competition. the bronze Yiannis Skandalis and Candice, at a 1.35m competition. the silver of Maria Nicolaidou and Flippo, at a 1.30m class. silver Giorgos Frangoyiannis with Jamiro, in the category of young horses Stavros Georgopoulos a gold and two silver medals with Deister Z and a silver with Princess Diana, and at a 1.10m class. Sofia Kalantzopoulou with Shakira Z.
