Successes for Greece 

With the closing ceremony and the delivery of the Balkan flag to the next host country, Romania, M | Equestrian Championship was completed with great success on Sunday evening at the Olympic Equestrian Center in Markopoulo. Greece won a total of 19 medals, 10 in jumping and 9 in dressage.

In Jumping ans the Seniors Class, two Greeks won the gold and bronze medals in the individual event. Angelos Touloupis with Lord Mexx won the gold medal with just 4 points in the four rounds, while Monika Martini with Electic Elvis won the bronze medal with 5.90 points. Turkish Ugur Yilmaz was second with Goldplay and 5.40 points.

In the Junior Category, Melina Peimanidi and Indy S emerged as gold Balkan Champions collecting 4 points in all four rounds. Second was Ivana Angelova from Bulgaria with Cassai with 7 points and third Nicole Alexandra Muscalu with Betina from Romania with 8 points.

In Juniors Team Competition, Greece with Evelina Vogli with Aliboron, Georgia Sklavenitis with Magico, Melina Peimanidis with Indy S and Semeli Popp with Arabella won the bronze medal with 32 penalty points. Bulgaria was the Balkan Champion.

In the Amazons Class, Greece climbed all three steps of the podium in the individual event.Stefania Papadimitriou with Atash de la Hogue took the gold medal with 1 point penalty in the four rounds, in 2nd place was Katerina Laskaridi with Calandra 21 with 4 points and in 3rd place Maria Papourdanou with Butterfly des Rhodes also with 4 points .

Greece won the gold medal in the Amazons Team Competition. The Greek Amazons Katerina Laskaridi with Calandra 21, Amanda Karageorgou with Rushdie, Maria Papourdanou with Butterfly des Rhodes, and Stefania Papadimitriou with Atash de la Hogue collected 9 penalty points in both rounds. In 2nd place was Turkey and in 3rd place Romania.

In the Young Riders class, the silver medal was won for Greece by Athena Zolota with Ulysse d’Orbec with 8 penalty points in the four rounds, while the gold medal was won by 6.86 points by the Romanian Joanna Clarke with RC Lux Vivendi. In 3rd place was also Romanian Stefania Stoica Schumann with Cader vd Slegershoeve Z with 12 points.

In the Young Riders team competition Greece was the gold medalist. The 4 athletes Dimitris Drougas with Sacripan GD, George Meimaridis with Larimar des Baumes, Mariansi Kyriakopoulos with Hopanlong Hans and Athena Zolota with Ulysse d'Orbec collected 10 penalty points in both rounds and won the gold medal. In 2nd place was Romania and in 3rd place Turkey.

In the Children's Category Balkan Champion was from Turkey Mina Gul with Doldoer with 0 points in all rounds. In 2nd place also from Turkey was Ege Cevik with Go Joed with also 0 points and in 3rd place Dessislava Milanova with Cazenta from Bulgaria with 1 penalty point.

In CSIYH the first three places in the three days were won respectively by the Turk Husnu Dinc with Jardel, Alexandros Fourlis with Freddo Capuccino and Antonis Antoniou with Pellegrino.
