The Balkan Equestrian Championships for the 4th time in Markopoulo
After the great success of the Athens Equestrian Festival 2023, the Olympic Equestrian Center in Markopoulos will host another very important equestrian international event this year. The Balkan Championships 2023 in the two Olympic equestrian sports, Jumping and Dressage from Thursday, 7th to Sunday, 10th of September, under the auspicies of the EEF.
Also, a week earlier, from 31 August to 3 September, the Federation will organize a CSI1*/CSICh B/CSIYH - EEF Evolution League, a new pioneering institution of the European Equestrian Federation, which includes classes, but also mixed team events that will enable better preparation of athletes and horses for the Championship.
The Balkan Championship, after two years, returns again to Greece and will be held for the 4th time at the Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Center. The Balkan Jumping Championship will take place at the Olympic grass arena from September 7 to 10, while the Balkan Dressage Championship will take place on the three days 8-10 September at the sand Olympic arena. The Balkan countries of Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Cyprus and of course Greece are expected to participate with around 180 riders and horses.
In jumping, the athletes with their horses will claim the gold medals in the individual and team competitions of the categories Children, Juniors, Ladies, Young Riders, Seniors, while in dressage in the categories of Children, Juniors, Young Riders and Seniors.

The schedule of the competitions will start at 9.00 and will be completed after 17.00 all days.
