Balkan Endurance CH
In Croatia & Barban!
Following the recent Balkan Jumping and Dressage Championships, Greece will also be present at the Balkan Endurance Championship.
The Balkan Endurance Championship will take place in Croatia, for the first time in the region of Istria, in the town of Barban, on Saturday, October 11.
For the first time in history, Greece will participate with two teams — Seniors and Juniors/Young Riders — a fact that in itself highlights the growth and momentum of the sport of Endurance Riding in recent years.
In the Senior category, three riders will take part: Theodoros Landavos with Colorado Dream, Alexandros Alafrangis with Zafer HM, and Katerina–Stefania Maliaki with Dias.
In the Juniors – Young Riders category, five female riders will compete: Marianna Roussi with M Aggeo, Angeliki Mermingidi with Kami, Aliki Konstantinidou with Evridika, Areti Patsioura with Salamon Ektoras R, and Zoe Tsitseliki Ozgunes with Salamon Salomi R.
The race covers a distance of 100 km for both categories and is scheduled to start on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. It will include both team and individual competitions. In this year’s Balkan Championship, the Senior category will feature 5 countries with 21 riders and horses, while the Juniors – Young Riders category will include 6 countries with 22 riders and horses.
Our teams will be accompanied by Ms. Efi Koutsafthi, coach of the Senior category, and Ms. Elina Dendrinou, coach of the Juniors – Young Riders category, as well as the team leader Mr. Sotiris Patsiouras, member of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation’s Board of Directors.
