6 medals in the Balkan Dressage

Six medals, two gold, three silver and one bronze won the National Dressage Team at the Balkan Championship in Lipica, Slovenia, which ended yesterday afternoon.

In the Seniors class the Greek Amazons won both gold medals. At the individual Competition this year's Senior Champion Kelly Sklavounos with Quanderas for the second consecutive year was the Golden Balkan Champion with a very good percentage 73.317% in yesterday's final freestyle event with music. In the team competition the three amazons, Sklavounou, Antonia Tsamandoura with Hope for the Future and Faidra Xanthopoulou with Flavio Go won the gold medal for Greece.

In the Young Riders Class, the only participation, Lavinia Makropoulou with Widoc Timbre, won the silver medal in the individual event with 65,375 in yesterday's final freestyle event.

In the Juniors category in the individual event, Eleni Retsou won the bronze medal with Fairytale with 67,583% also in the freestyle event, while in the team competition our four amazons, Retsou, Rafaellia Georgoulea with Luxemburg, Despina Sidira with Windsor and Natalia Fragiadaki with Desteny won the silver medal.

In the Children's Class in the team competition our four children, Alexandros Katsikis with Dangast, Korina Gagani with Boy Altena, Isabella Atsalaki with Nikos and Eleni Ioannou with Ripley 2 won the silver medal. In the individual finals, best of the Greek side, 4th, was Isabella Atsalakis with Nikos with a good percentage of 66,012% 

The Balkan Dressage Championship was upgraded this year, as the very good team of Slovenia participated for the first time, which gives more value to Greek placings.

The next objective of the Dressage is the European Junior and Children Championship in San Giovanni, Italy from 24 to 28 July.
